As a Partner and Private Wealth Advisor at SkyOak Wealth, I specialize in goals-based wealth management and long-term planning for our clients. My work blends all financial, investment, retirement, tax, and estate considerations with the everyday financial decisions that shape people’s lives.
My mission is to help clients clearly understand where they are today, what they want for their future, and the steps needed to get there. I chose this profession after experiencing the financial and emotional challenges a family faces when they lose a breadwinner early in life. That experience continues to guide my purpose today.
I began my financial services career nearly a decade ago at Morgan Stanley, where I completed my foundational training before joining SkyOak Wealth. Shortly after, I earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which deepened my commitment to comprehensive, client-centered wealth management. Building trusted, long-term relationships is the part of this work I value most.
I’m also passionate about mental health education and suicide awareness and prevention. I sit on the advisory board for the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan and support their “be nice.” program, which brings mental health education and resources to many communities throughout the country.
My Ideal Day
I love traveling, reading, boating, skiing, meditation, and spending time with my wife Erica and our kids. I always enjoy sharing good conversation with friends and family over a wine or bourbon.
What I Do Best
I help clients understand their complete financial picture and create a clear, purposeful plan to support their long-term goals and the life they want to live. I also have a strong network of friends and family and love connecting people.
Little-Known Fact About Me
My personal goals are to get my private pilot’s license, take a ski trip in Europe, and tackle the Great Loop someday.
